General Description:
Set in the secluded village of San Sano, in the heart of the Chianti Region, this ancient tower has been carefully restored to offer a fusion of modern technologies and historic surroundings. Nestled amongst the gentle slopes of the Tuscan countryside, the tower, dating back to 1200, became a Tuscan governor’s mansion and through the years a hotel with only 4 suites, each decorated with antique furniture. Situated just 19 km from Sienna, and not far form Florence, the hotel is the ideal place to spend a relaxing holiday; San Sano is a medieval village, surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. Walking down its streets you can experience a way of life still dominated by the ancient rhythms of old rural societies. As a guest you can freely use the pool of a neighbouring hotel. All suites are furnished with antiques and historical pieces belonging, to the families of the owners, a rare collection made available to guests just as it would be in a private home. All suites feature: Individually controlled air conditioning; satellite television with VHS and DVD; telephone with a direct line and office facilities; minibar and; safe. In the private bathroom you will find cosmetic herbalist products by Elixir del Chianti, with active ingredients of grapes and olive oil as their base.
